Tapio Maki has been Chief Executive Officer of
Smart Salt, Inc, a fast growing low-sodium salt company since its founding in early 2000. Mr. Maki has been providing strategic direction for all Smart Salt business segments including the continent-specific business approach and operational mode optimized to secure resources and timely execution. Prior to Smart Salt, Mr. Maki held several positions at Nokia Inc. where he orchestrated and synchronized global team efforts in design and qualification of several microchip generations. Mr. Maki’s strategic and visionary approach to health, combined with his entrepreneurial passion and drive have established the foundation for Smart Salt, Inc. to deliver a superior
low-sodium product to a global community. Mr. Maki holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.
